Our client in Manassas is seeking a Project Assistant who is process focused, very organized with a strong sense of priorities.
Responsibilities
· Assist with proposals and bids: prepare, proofread, copy and distribute
· Maintain construction and project management forms
· Check forms and documents for accuracy and completeness
· Prepare and maintain job books for projects
· Communicate with sub-contractors
· Prepare and distribute purchase orders
· Process change orders
· Prepare and maintain warranty books
· Track requests and submittals from sub-contractors and other vendors
· Prepare transmittals
· Make revisions to agreements
· Serve and back-up receptionist and help out with general office functions
· Perform other projects as required
Experience and Skills
· Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
· Attention to detail and organizational ability
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to work on multiple tasks and priorities
· Excellent customer service attitude and demeanor
· Quality focus
· Ability to take initiative and accountability
· 3-5 years experience desired; experience with general contractor or construction industry a plus.
